BOAT OPERATOR CERTIFICATION (BOC)

Your USPS Boat Operator Certification will accomplish all of the above, and more. Get tested in a supportive environment and become USPS certified!
The BOC Program certifies USPS members at various levels of recreational boating proficiency. Each level of certification requires achievement of prior levels, the successful completion of particular skills and seminars, plus the demonstration of essential skills on the water. There are four levels in the program:
Skills certifications are conducted by qualified USPS BOC Certifiers. For more information, contact your local squadron or district.
Boat Operator Certification - Inland Navigator
demonstrate your small boat handling skills on the water in the first level of USPS certification, a prerequisite for additional levels. Additional USPS courses and seminars are required to achieve this certification.
Boat Operator Certification - Coastal Navigator
Have fun demonstrating your on-the-water GPS and dead reckoning abilities while navigating along a coast or river during Coastal Navigator Certification. Boat Operator Certification - Advanced Coastal Navigator
Experience the confidence of operating your vessel in a demanding environment using GPS and dead reckoning in day and night. Demonstrate cruise planning an higher level piloting skills.
